“Roll With It" – Hair Curlers as Floral Mechanics | Episode 84 of Blossoms and Bourbon

On a recent stroll thru a big box retailer, I came upon this package of brightly colored hair curlers (in fact, the colors seemed to match the four colors of my logo!). Like a bird attracted to shiny things, I was intrigued first of all by the colors. But, then, I remembered a floral mechanic that used aspidistra leaves rolled up and stapled as a mechanic in a vase! Sooooooo…………….why not? Right? The little beauties tucked right into this shallow bowl and worked like a charm to hold my flowers in place! Hope you’ll enjoy this one! A collaboration of country music star Chris Stapleton and the Master Distiller from Buffalo Trace Distillery Harlen Wheatley. This one is a bit more to my liking as it has some sweetness to it (but not overbearing in my opinion!). There’s also a nice bit of spice that shows itself at the end. It is a blended whiskey (out of 50 different blends, number 40 was chosen!) with origins from the Sazerac distillery. For me, it’s great right over a nice cube for sipping – whether you’re sitting around a campfire or in the privacy of your own living room! Thanks for watching! Cheers! Floral Materials Used in this Episode: Orange tulips, pink carnations, blue centaurea (bachelor’s buttons), coral garden rose, blue hydrangea (tinted a more turquoise shade), craspedia, sunflowers, faux butterflies This is a link for a list of my often used and preferred floral products.
