🇱🇰 Day 2 — Nuwara Eliya, Sri Lanka 🌿 Kandy → Nuwara Eliya: around 4.5-5 hours by road. Nuwara Eliya, known as “Little England,” is famous for its cool weather, misty mountains and beautiful Ceylon tea estates. 🍃 Labookellie Tea Estate — We explored the tea plantations and enjoyed the beautiful mountain views. Basic Labookellie Ceylon tea prices can start around LKR 790 (~₹230) for 200g, depending on the variety. 🏡 Queen’s Lake Cabin — Our stay booked through Booking.com, with a beautiful Gregory Lake view. We paid around LKR 4,000–4,500/night. 🕉️ Ashok Vatika / Seetha Eliya — A place associated with the Ramayana, traditionally believed to be where Sita Mata was held captive. The nearby site is also associated with Hanuman Ji’s footprints. 🏘️ Little England Cottages — Beautiful colonial-style cottages surrounded by greenery. Entry was free during our visit, with dining arrangements available. 🌊 Gregory Lake — A peaceful spot with beautiful mountain views and boating. Entry was around LKR 200/person. 🌦️ Weather: Cool, misty and unpredictable, so carry a light jacket and rain protection!
