The full version of converting a Chinese copy of an M1 into the rare airborne m2. This version has four times the suffering and regret of the short version! The m2 was an early attempt to make an airborne specific helmet. After several combat jumps, we decided the M1c was just as effective and easier to make. Originally, 392,000 m2s were made with the distinctive “D” bales. I’m sure more have been converted in the last 20 years than were ever produced for the military. This was a really expensive attempt to convert a Chinese m1 into a respectable looking m2. Thanks for watching! Cost breakdown: Helmet $42 -Rivets $6. -A yokes $25. -Chin cup $25. -Net. $25. -Snaps $6 -Straps $25 -Barracking $5 -D loop $15 Webbing $4 Snaps $4 -Leather $5 Scissors $15 Eyelets/tool $7 Epoxy $7.50 Cork $8 Mod podge $8 Brushes $1 Washers $2.50 ——————— Total : $367 Paint used: Rustoleum nutmeg and espresso for the liner Cerekote mil spec green for the shell
