Why Daniel Opened His Window When He Knew It Would Get Him Killed | Joseph Farley 🔔 SUBSCRIBE TO THE CREATIVE MIND NETWORK:    / @thecreativemindnetwork   Today we're going to talk about the biblical foundation of daily practice. This is a morning-practice principle. The more times you do things, it creates a neural pathway in your mind and in your brain, where it makes it easier each time and the connection gets much stronger. The psalmist David talked about his voice. "O Lord, my voice will you hear in the morning, and I will direct my prayers unto thee, and I will look up." And there was another guy in the Bible that had a daily ritual. Daniel. Daniel was a man of incredible influence. He served in the courts of Babylonian and Persian kings. He interpreted dreams that determined the fate of empires. He was so trusted that his enemies could find no fault in him, except one: his relationship with God. His enemies conspired to trap him. They convinced King Darius to sign a decree that anyone who prayed to any god or man other than the king for thirty days would be thrown into the lion's den. The decree was signed. It was irreversible. And Daniel knew it. Here is what he did next. He went into his house; and his windows being open in his chamber toward Jerusalem, he kneeled upon his knees three times a day, and prayed, and gave thanks before his God, as he did aforetime. Three times a day. Every day. In the same place. At the same time. In the same way. He did not change his practice because the decree was signed. He did not hide. He did not run. He kept his rhythm. And when he was thrown into the lion's den, the rhythm sustained him. The same God he had met with three times a day for decades showed up in the lions' den. In this teaching, Joseph Farley continues Chapter 7 of the Creative Mind Workbook with Section 7.5 — Daniel's Window. You'll learn: • Why the morning practice creates neural pathways • David's morning prayer and the posture of looking up • The story of your grandfather-in-law's scrolls and Li Bai • Why the Science of Faith was always the plan • Jesus's morning practice in Mark 1:35 • The story of Daniel's Window and the lion's den • Why Daniel didn't change his rhythm when the decree was signed • The secret of Daniel's courage — it was his daily practice before the moment • The championship boxer analogy • The 5-part morning system: Stillness, Gratitude, Faith, Intention, Surrender • Why the 10-minute practice changes everything • Why the morning is a meeting place with the Creator The secret of Daniel's courage was not that he was brave in that moment. It was his daily practice before the moment. Daniel had already made a decision, and that decision came from his daily practice. It wasn't a decision that was immediately made. It was a decision that was made every day he went to prayer. The morning practice is not just a preparation for the day, it's a preparation for catastrophe. It's a preparation for chaos. So what you're doing is that you're claiming the day in ten minutes before the day claims you, and then the day works for you instead of against you.
