Cars 2 is one of those movies that people seem to absolutely despise, especially compared to the first one. Over the years it’s gotten a reputation for being one of the weirdest directions Pixar has ever taken a franchise, turning a small town racing story into a full blown spy movie. But is the hate actually deserved, or did Cars 2 just try something different that people weren’t ready for?
