They Came for a Holiday… and Never Left Tavira, Portugal!

What if a holiday in Portugal turned into a completely new life? That's exactly what happened to Matt and André. What started as annual holidays in Tavira, in Portugal's beautiful Eastern Algarve, eventually became a decision to make this little corner of the world their home. In this conversation, we talk about their journey from New York to Portugal, what made them fall in love with Tavira, and how embracing a slower pace of life changed their priorities. Matt, originally from Atlanta, built an incredible career on Broadway and as a vocal coach in New York. André, originally from Portugal, spent years living and working abroad. Together, they discovered that moving to Tavira didn't mean giving up their careers or ambitions — it meant finding a different way to live. We also talk about the challenges of adapting to life in Portugal, the importance of community, and how they turned their passion for wellness into All In Comunidade, a yoga and Pilates studio in Tavira designed to bring people together.
