December 5, 1986 Commercial Breaks – WBRC (ABC, Birmingham)

Commercial breaks taken from episodes of One Life to Live and General Hospital on ABC (now Fox) affiliate WBRC in Birmingham, Alabama. WBRC was one of the Taft stations later purchased by New World Communications that would join the Fox network in the mid-90s. Shortly after the new affiliation agreement was signed, New World transferred WBRC directly to Fox, who was forced to operate the station as an ABC affiliate for more than a year while that affiliation agreement ran out. On September 1, 1996, the ABC affiliation ended on WBRC and the station picked up the Fox affiliation from WTTO/WDDB, who went independent for a year before affiliating with the WB. The ABC affiliation, meanwhile, went to a low-power/rimshot combo of W58CK (WBMA-LP)/WCFT/WJSU. WBRC was part of the group of smaller Fox O&Os spun-off to Local TV in 2008. Local TV then traded WBRC to Raycom (now part of Gray) the next year in exchange for WTVR in Richmond, Virginia.
