In this video, I perform a deep-clean rebuild on the EEV (Electronic Expansion Valve) coils for a MrCool 36k BTU DIY 4-zone system. After finding the 9k heads suffering from severe rust from condensation weeping, I walk through a multi-step restoration process. The Workflow: De-scaling: Using a 50/50 high-strength vinegar soak to break down corrosion. Mechanical Cleaning: Utilizing a brass tube wire wheel on a drill to polish the internal coil sleeves. Chemical Flush: 99% Isopropyl Alcohol to remove residue and moisture. Protection: Applying dielectric grease to the EEV valve and coil interior to create a permanent moisture barrier. Prevention: Installing custom insulation covers to stop condensation at the source.
