Odense. Vanlife Denmark

We absolutely loved this city in Denmark. We were drawn here because of the fact it is the birthplace of the famous Hans Christian Andersen; the city proudly displays statues and monuments in his honour. Whilst we were exploring, we found out that it is the third largest city in Denmark (with Aarhus and Copenhagen taking top spots). It was so peaceful, clean and very well kept. The contrast between the old and new was done sensitively to retain the beauty of the past. After further research, we discovered that there are over 164 different nationalities living in Odense. Another thing we noticed were the number of playgrounds - it has over 250! The Danish really do consider the needs of everyone. Cycling across Denmark is something that is very apparent. In Odense there are cycle paths totalling 560 kilometres!
