Aestria is a vivid world with a lot of inspiration from fantasy and old legends. ---------------------------- Where the Tideveil River flows into the Thalendic Sea, Valenport thrums with life, its cobblestone streets alive with the calls of fishmongers and the creak of docks. One of the Free Cities of Thalendaar’s east coast, predating the War of Heaven and Earth, Valenport is a vibrant tapestry of seafood, ancient songs, and glowing markets. Its proud, stubborn people stand unyielding as the cliffs, their city a beacon for adventurers seeking glory amid trade and tradition. ---------------------------- Towering over the city is Tharisval, a fortress of pale, rune-carved stone that gleams like pearl under moonlight. Known in the Aetheric tongue as Tharessvall—the Stone of Hope’s Ward—it was raised before the War of Heaven and Earth as a symbol of unity against tyranny. Its Council Chambers, a marvel of mosaics and soaring pillars, glow beneath a domed skylight, sunlight dancing across etched stone in patterns of resilience. The Gardens of Dawn, lush with starbloom vines and crystal-lit fountains, offer serenity amid the city’s bustle. Beneath Tharisval lies the Kendrinmar, called Kwendrenmor—the Core of Eternal Darkness. Explored to its 27th level, this Vault hums with restless energy, its deeper reaches deadly to all who venture further. Guarded by the Kendrin Sentinels, its sealed gates hold back a dark heart, yet tremors stir whispers of chaos waiting to break free. ----------------------------
