Hey my loves ❤️, Join me on a journey to Okochiri Town in Okrika Local Government Area, Rivers State, as I attend a burial ceremony and witness the beautiful traditions and customs of the Okrika people. Our journey began with a road trip from Port Harcourt to Okochiri. One of the most remarkable parts of the ceremony was the traditional burial rites performed on the water, after which the deceased was taken to the town hall for a lying-in-state ceremony. The following day, family, friends and well wishers gathered at the Anglican Church for the funeral service before he was finally laid to rest. It was an experience that offered a glimpse into the rich cultural heritage, traditions and burial customs of the Okrika people. Come along and experience this memorable journey with me.
