Part 1 of my Winter '27 series for Salesforce developers. In this live demo, in my own Developer Edition org, I walk through Web Console, the bigger synchronous Apex heap limit, the new FORMULA() function in SOQL, and a faster way to recompile Apex classes. In this video you'll learn: ✅ Web Console (generally available): a VS Code-style editor that runs in the browser, opened from the Setup menu, with the Salesforce Org Browser and the command palette ✅ The synchronous Apex heap limit is now 10 MB (up from 6 MB): I prove it live with Limits.getLimitHeapSize() in anonymous Apex, and show the new Apex Settings checkbox that temporarily keeps the Summer '26 limit ✅ SOQL FORMULA() (Beta): field math right inside a query: I list students' fees, then filter to the ones who still owe money by computing Amount Paid minus Course Fee in the WHERE clause ✅ Compile only invalid classes: a new link on the Apex Classes page that recompiles only the classes that need it Missed the admin series? ▶ Admins Part 1:    • Winter '27 Top Features for Salesforce Adm...   ▶ Admins Part 2 (Flow):    • Winter '27 Top Features for Salesforce Adm...   ▶ Admins Part 3 (Reports, Security & Flow Testing):    • Winter '27 Top Features for Salesforce Adm...   Full Winter '27 playlist:    • Winter'27 Release Highlights   👉 If this helped, follow and subscribe to Train2Salesforce for more hands-on Salesforce tutorials, and catch Part 2 on Lightning Web Components:    / @train2salesforce   💬 Which of these will you try first: Web Console, the 10 MB heap limit, SOQL FORMULA(), or compiling only invalid classes? Note: FORMULA() in SOQL is a Beta feature in Winter '27 and isn't available in production orgs. The 25 MB figure for asynchronous Apex is quoted from the Winter '27 release notes; I only tested the synchronous limit in this video. Feature details can change before and during the release, so check the official release notes and always try new features in a sandbox first. 0:00 Intro 0:14 What's covered 0:28 Web Console (generally available) 1:15 Apex heap limit: 10 MB for synchronous Apex 2:00 SOQL FORMULA() function (Beta) 2:40 Compile only invalid Apex classes 3:01 Recap 3:24 What's next #Salesforce #SalesforceDeveloper #Winter27 #Apex #SOQL #WebConsole #Train2Salesforce
