UTMB - Wild Strubel 2024 | Snow, Setbacks from 113km to 76 km in the Swiss Alps

Four course changes. Three start-time changes. One false start. My UTMB Wild Strubel race, 14th September 2024 became a 76 km adventure with 4,100 m of climbing through the Swiss Alps. (Instead of 113km with 6,600m) Snowy trails, muddy paths, old friends, new trail friends and a very enthusiastic welcome from Nachos, my four-legged supporter. After 13 hours 28 minutes, I reached the finish and took 3rd place in my category — and won the cheese!
