🇱🇰 Sri Lanka Day 2 – Sigiriya | Part 1 Today we explore world-famous Sigiriya Lion Rock, one of the biggest attractions in Sri Lanka! We started our day at Mango Family Stay in Sigiriya, where we stayed for approximately $27 total for 4 people, including breakfast. We booked two rooms, each with two beds and an attached bathroom. From there, we headed to Sigiriya Rock and checked the ticket prices, including the difference between SAARC and other international visitor prices. Then came the main challenge — climbing Sigiriya Rock! 😰 The climb, the crowds, the narrow and steep iron stairs, and the incredible views made this one of the most memorable experiences of our Sri Lanka trip. I also share some practical tips if you're planning to visit Sigiriya — why you should come early, what shoes to wear, carrying enough water, sunscreen, a hat, and how to plan your timing for coming back down from the rock. After the climb, we went to Mango Hut for an amazing Sri Lankan meal featuring coconut roti, dhal curry, coconut-filled pancakes, fruits and coffee. 🍛☕ It was actually meant to be breakfast, but we had it as lunch — and honestly, it was delicious! There is also a personal story in this vlog. After accidentally leaving our laptop on the bus, the owner of our stay went out of his way to help us recover it from the bus driver.
