This is a quick and Easy 2 row repeat pattern for the shawl then we surround the shawl with a simple single crochet and double crochet border. I will walk you step by step through making this shawl. Material List Red heart Unforgettable (4) Medium weight yarn (3.5 oz/ 100 gm/ 270 yds/ 246 m) per skein: 5 skeins color # 3977 Crochet Hook size 10-J (6 mm) Crochet Hook size I-9 (5.5 mm) Larger hook is used to make the insdie of shawl and smaller hook is used for the border. If changing the size of the shawl use the stitch multiple of 2 plus 3. Work stitch pattern to length desired, ending with Row 3 of pattern. Example stitch multiple of 2 times 35 = 70 then add 3 for a total of 73 chains. If you want to use a different weight of yarn like a DK or (3) Light weight yarn then adjust your starting chain by using the stitch multiple above. Use the recommended hook size on the label of the yarn you are using for the inside of shawl, then drop the hook size down one size for the border.
