Welcome back, gang! In this video I share my personal philosophy on model making—focusing on fun, creativity, and enjoying the hobby. I’m working on the classic Tamiya Sd.Kfz. 222 German armored car, and in this episode I walk through my plans for the build and show some of my early progress.
This is the first video in a multi-part series where I’ll be adding scratch-built details to the 222, upgrading older Tamiya parts, and improving the look of the turret and gun assembly. My goal here isn’t perfection—it’s about having fun, trying new ideas, and building the model the way I enjoy it.
In this video I cover:
My approach to fun and creative scale modeling
Early detailing work on the 20mm gun and turret
Scratch-building ideas for the Tamiya Sd.Kfz. 222
How I plan to upgrade this older WWII German armored car kit
Tips for enjoying the hobby—not stressing over it
