Florida New Construction: How to Get the Most Value for Your Money

Can you get a better deal from a Florida home builder without a Realtor? If you’re buying new construction in Lakewood Ranch, Sarasota, or elsewhere along Florida’s Gulf Coast, the advertised incentive may be only the beginning of the negotiation. In this video, I explain where buyers may find additional value beyond advertised builder incentives, why the base price may be far from the final price, and what to look for in a builder’s contract. I also discuss why buyers relocating to Florida should compare new construction with newer resale homes—and why the right retirement home is about more than the biggest discount. In three individual new construction transactions, I helped buyers obtain approximately $69,000, $90,000, and $63,000 in additional concessions and value on top of advertised incentives.
