Life on Shamspir Island, Karachi: Discover the Hidden Lives of Karachi's Island Community

Shampspir Island is the one of the third residential Island of Karachi. The inhabitants of this Island are fishermen who have lived here for over hundred years. The community here belongs to the ancient Mohana tribe of Sindh and speak a dialect of Sindhi. The Island has been ignored by the authorities people lack the basic necessities of life the main problem is with the supply of water. There are estimated twelve hundred families on this Island with a population of ten thousands. The people are humble and very hardworking.
