In today’s video, I’m adding some celestial magic to a recently up cycled pair of thrifted jeans that I turned into extra-wide elephant bells. 🌞✨🌙 These jeans were already one of my favourite thrift flip creations, but I felt like they needed a little more… flair. So I grabbed some stencils, pulled out my acrylic paints, and let the stars guide me.
If you’re curious about painting denim, I’ll walk you through the process I used — including a simple trick that finally helped me get results I love. I used basic acrylic paint (no fabric medium needed, though you can use it if you prefer or use fabric paints) along with some stencils I had on hand. This is a fun, forgiving project that turns plain denim into wearable art with a hippie vibe.
If you’d like to make your own bell bottoms, check out the technique I shared here • Upcycle Thrifted Jeans into GROOVY Elephan...
🎨 Whether you're a fellow upcycler, a thrift-store treasure hunter, or just looking for a fresh way to breathe new life into your clothes, I hope this inspires you to get creative and express yourself through wearable art. There’s nothing quite like making something with your own two hands that tells your story. 🌿
