🗺️ Download the Football Recruitment Roadmap: https://footballrecruitmentroadmap.ca... 👨‍💻 Work with me in the Recruitment Room: https://www.recruitmentroom.co/ How I went from an office job to working as a football scout and analyst, with no experience when I started. Six years ago I was working in the gambling industry. No network. No technical skills. No scouting experience. I could not code and I had never heard of Tableau. Today I am a data analyst and scout at Unique Sports Group, one of the biggest football agencies in the world. Before that I worked at clubs in England and Scotland as a recruitment analyst and scout. In this video I take you through how that actually happened, and what I would do differently if I was starting again today. What you will learn: The three myths that held me back for years, and why none of them are true Why my first data visualisations were bad, and why that did not matter The Nottingham Forest recruitment plans that got me noticed by people inside the game Why consistency beat any single piece of work I ever made How freelance and part-time work came long before any full-time job What I would learn first if I was starting from zero today If you want to become a football scout, a recruitment analyst or a football data analyst, and you are making a career change into football from another industry, this is the route I took and where I would start now. I mentioned the differences between working club side and agency side. If you want a video on that, tell me in the comments. I read every one.
