2013 Nissan Altima Starter Replacement 3.5 SL

In this video I give step-by-step instructions on replacing the starter in a 2013 Nissan Altima 3.5 SL. I tell the tools used and socket sizes. I show the transaxle dipstick that must be removed, how to remove it, and how I plugged the hole to keep dirt out. I also show the Starter Shim that must be reused in order to get the new starter lined up with the ring gear teeth correctly when it engages, though I mistakenly called it a gasket in the recording. As with my previous Nissan Altima video on Spark plugs, this is something just about anyone with minimal automotive knowledge can accomplish. I performed the entire replacement in the parking lot of a store in less than 3 hours including the time it took to record. Please leave a comment with any questions.
