Welcome to TU Exam Preparations-Dan.
In this video, I solve Model Question No. 9 from Digital Logic for BITM 2nd Semester under Tribhuvan University (TU). This is a 5-mark question based on Shift Registers and SISO operation.
Question:
“What is shift register? You are provided with a bit sequence 1101, and you are asked to extract those bits after right shifting. Which shift register would you use? Discuss with necessary block diagrams and timing diagrams.”
In this video, I use a 4-bit SISO (Serial-In Serial-Out) Shift Register and explain the complete solution in a simple and exam-friendly manner.
Topics Covered:
Definition of Shift Register
Types of Shift Registers
Why SISO is suitable for serial bit extraction
4-bit SISO Shift Register
Right-shift operation
Extraction of bit sequence 1101
Block diagram
Step-by-step shifting operation
Timing diagram
Output sequence after each clock pulse
Exam-oriented explanation for a 5-mark question
This video is especially useful for BITM 2nd Semester students preparing for Tribhuvan University Digital Logic examinations and for students studying shift registers, sequential circuits and digital electronics.
Watch the complete solution and practice drawing the SISO block diagram and timing diagram for your examination.
