A Special Train, Old Steam & Some New Friends – 17/08/26

Today's walk may not have been one of my longest distance-wise, but there was certainly plenty packed into it! I started by heading up through Mules Park to reunite the wooden doggo with his famous Bill's Phone Teignmouth bandanna, now repaired and ready for another stint on the old boy. From there I made my way down through the Dell and water features before joining the Seawall, where we have a particularly railway-heavy selection of viewer submissions, including some lovely steam footage and photographs from Andy dating back four and five years. I headed along to Sprey Point to see if Rufus was around, although he remained elusive today, but I did get an unexpected bonus in the shape of a special service train passing through. Along the way I also met a lovely group of visitors from Wales, who joined me for a good old chat and make an appearance in the video. Add in the usual birthdays, submissions, trains and general Teignmouth catch-up, and it turned into a surprisingly full wander despite not covering a huge distance.
