Practical Binocular Vision Assessment in Retail Setup. Is it Possible? | OOLS | Optom. Azam NH Azmi

OOLS - Online Optom Learning Series - Session 2 (2nd April 2020) Here we bring you the 2nd session of our online learning series which was live on 2nd April 2020 at 11:00am IST. We would like to thank Optom. Azam NH Azmi for this wonderful session on Binocular Vision Tricks and Tips which a practitioner can perform at a retail setup and encouraged us all to start assessing it so as to rule out any ocular alignment or accommodative problems at the earliest. The 4 take away points from this session is : 1. SYMPTOMS before SYSTEM: Manage patients complains first 2. Don't waste time in History taking, it can go on throughout the examination session 3. Always trial frames the Rx first and let patient experience in the habitual environment. 4. Take small steps, start with simple cases, and PRACTICE until you get confidence then move to challenge ones. Also, as a practitioner, we need to keep in mind that we should start Vision Therapy (VT) once SYMPTOMS reduce,s and starting with Home Therapy first can help you see the compliance of the patient. We thank all the participants who attended the lecture and asked a few important questions so that we learn and go home with a great message. Do leave a comment below for any suggestions you want to convey. Like and Share the Video if you think it's informative to your friends and colleagues.
