Saqib scored 755 on the GMAT Focus Edition in October, with Q90, V84 and DI88. Saqib started with a 615 MOCK in August. The best full-length MOCK before the exam was 695, and the target was 735. Saqib is a full-time working professional who set a two-month deadline and did it with e-GMAT and the LMP mentor, on the first attempt. In this conversation with LMP mentor Kavyashree, Saqib breaks down exactly what changed: • Two-month plan, full-time job: Saqib joined e-GMAT on a friend's recommendation, set a deadline of around two months, and studied 4–5 hours on weekdays and 7–8 hours on weekends. • Data Insights: the one-on-one fix: After finishing the Neuron concepts, Saqib's DI scores in sectionals and MOCKs still lagged, and a one-on-one session with LMP mentor Kavyashree pointed Saqib to TPA verbal as the place to practise. • Hard time caps in DI: Saqib set a hard time cap per question, with a larger one for MSR, and did not breach it on the real exam. • Critical Reasoning process: Saqib went back to the process taught in the e-GMAT modules, wrote the scope word for every CR question, and ran error log analysis for the last 15 days. • RC structure notes: Saqib built notes around passage structure, not details, and reached 95 accuracy on Neuron OG questions. • Warm-up before the exam: Saqib read very easy Neuron passages and built structures for one or two hours, without solving the questions, so the first section started in a reading frame. • Quant: from 40% to Q90: Cementing quizzes in mid-September showed 40% in number properties and 50% in word problems, and an Excel priority order, revised concepts and Q86 and Q87 sectionals led to Q90. • MOCKs stuck at 655–695: The e-GMAT Sigma-X MOCKS sat between 655 and 695, with DI at 81 and 82, and Saqib spent more than 50% of the last prep time on Data Insights. • Section order and test day: Saqib took Verbal, then DI, then Quant, used exam cards made from the error log, and stayed calm for the last two days.
