Breya Stax Deck Tech | Graveyard Hate, Cascade Answers & Combos | MTG CommanderBreya Deck Tech

Graveyard decks getting out of hand? Cascade turns taking forever? This Breya, Etherium Shaper Commander deck comes prepared. This week on Professor Fen MTG, we’re breaking down my four-color Breya stax and hard control build. It combines targeted hate, counterspells, combat restrictions, and artifact combos to slow explosive strategies and create an opening to win. 🛑 WHAT DOES THE DECK SHUT DOWN? • Cascade and spell chains: High Noon limits spells, while Teferi, Time Raveler restricts opponents’ casting windows. • Graveyard strategies: Grafdigger’s Cage, Containment Priest, Ashiok, Dream Render, and Bojuka Bog attack different parts of the graveyard game. • Creature engines: Torpor Orb and Hushwing Gryff suppress creature ETB triggers, while Linvala, Keeper of Silence stops opposing creature activations. • Combat: Moat, Ensnaring Bridge, Ghostly Prison, Propaganda, and The Tabernacle at Pendrell Vale make creature pressure harder to maintain. • Spell efficiency: Nether Void and Lodestone Golem make spells much more demanding. Add Narset, Counterbalance, The Abyss, and a counterspell package, and we’ve got plenty of ways to make the table work for its wins. ⚙️ HOW DOES BREYA FINISH? Basalt Monolith and Rings of Brighthearth can generate unlimited colorless mana. Retrofitter Foundry converts that mana into artifact creature tokens, which Breya can sacrifice to deal lethal damage. Approach of the Second Sun provides another route to victory. These restrictions affect our own sequencing too—especially Torpor Orb shutting off Breya’s Thopter ETB. Knowing when to deploy each piece matters! 💬 Which card in this list would earn the biggest groan at your table? What would you change?
