Somewhere inside me, there's still a little boy who believed he could become anything. A boy who looked up at the stars, dreaming of a future filled with endless possibilities. A boy who didn't know how complicated life would become, how many dreams would be left behind, or how difficult it would sometimes be to simply find his place in this world. As the years passed, life took turns I never expected. Dreams changed, opportunities disappeared, and somewhere along the way, I started questioning whether I had become the person that little boy once believed I would be. The Boy I Left Behind is one of the most personal songs I've ever created. It's about growing older without feeling like you've found your purpose. About comparing yourself to others, fighting silent battles, searching for meaning, and carrying the weight of expectations you placed upon yourself as a child. But most importantly, it's about a question that still lives inside me: If I could meet my younger self today, would he be proud of the man I've become? I don't know the answer to that question yet. And maybe that's what makes this song so personal. I'm still searching. Still dreaming. Still trying to become someone that little boy would recognize. And if I could reach my hand across all those years... I just hope he'd reach back for me.
