Pomerelle Mountain Resort and Magic Mountain Ski Resort Vacation

We had a great time visiting these two "boutique" ski resorts in southern Idaho. They're a great value for the dollar with a very family friendly atmosphere and a wide range of hills and skill levels to enjoy as well as lots of opportunities to ski through the trees. Pomerelle Mountain Resort was playing Disney music at the base and the lift operators were singing along. There are only two lifts, but on the Friday we went there wasn't much of a line ever and there was plenty of terrain to enjoy. The snow was fantastic and the mountain flocked with beautiful scenery. Magic Mountain Ski Resort was also a wonderful surprise. I had no idea how much terrain could be reached with what had to be a 50 year-old double chairlift powered by an exposed diesel engine. A throwback to be sure. But they're not embarrassed at all. They are what they are and they love it and it shows in how much fun their lift operator was having playing classic rock and roll from the 50's to the 80's all day long at the base which you could hear all the way to the top. Powder everywhere the weekend we were there (late February). I recommend wholeheartedly both these resorts for a weekend getaway! Hope you enjoy!
