This video will guide you step by step through the process of registering as an income tax filer using the new IRIS 2.0 system by the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR Pakistan). Step 1 Go to the FBR IRIS website. Click on “Registration for Unregistered Person”. Fill in all required details like your name, CNIC number, address, property details, etc. Then click Submit. Step 2 You’ll receive a code on your email and SMS. Enter the code on the website and click Submit again. Step 3 You will receive your Login ID, Password, and PIN on your email and SMS. Step 4 Log in to IRIS using your CNIC (as User ID) and password. Click on the “Declaration” tab, and select “Normal Return” from the list. Step 5 Choose the tax year 2025 (which covers income from 1st July 2024 to 30th June 2025). Step 6 Enter your income details in the appropriate section. Step 7 Click on “Computation” and check if any tax is payable or adjustable. Step 8 Now go to “Wealth Statement”. In the "Reconciliation of Net Assets" section, enter your total income again. Then add your assets and liabilities. Make sure the Unreconciled amount is "Zero". Step 9 Recheck all your entered data in the “Data” tab. Step 10 Click on “Verification”, enter your PIN, save the data and then Submit the return. Step 13 After submitting your tax return for 2025. Now you are filer and can check your status on FBR main iris website Active Tax payers list after 1 hour.
