Under the hay moon

Past the last fence line, where the road thins to a whisper of gravel, a light is waiting. Somewhere beyond the fields, a slow pulse begins to beat, steady as a heart that has finally stopped running. You follow it without knowing why, only that the night is calling and every step feels like an answer. Inside the barn, the lamps burn low and no one is in a hurry to leave. Time loosens its grip. The same slow groove rolls on, the same soft feeling settles over the room, and strangers sway like old friends beneath the rafters. Outside, the hay moon hangs heavy and golden, watching over a night that does not want to end. This is a song about holding on to a moment while it is still warm. A voice asks to stay, to not let go, to keep moving through the dark together, because the magic only lasts as long as someone stays beside you. When the music thins to a single pulse and the final glow fades, what remains is the quiet promise of tonight. Let the moon carry you home, or let it keep you here a little longer.
