A few sketching best practices: ▪ Keep sketches simple ▪ Never leave weak dimensions ▪ Use strong dimensions to control design behavior ▪ Choose robust references ▪ Use construction geometry to capture design intent ▪ Avoid “super sketches” ▪ Build your own Sketch Palette ▪ Don’t add chamfers or fillets in the sketch unless they’re necessary Good sketching practices make models easier to understand, modify, and maintain.
