Art vlog #10: Dusky Dolphins (aka the biggest show offs)

Another drawing belonging to my 'Dolphins of the sea' series done. Medium: Soft Pastel on paper Some little bonus bits and pieces on the Dusky's: They have been studied (including some long term) around new Zealand and off of Argentina They are mostly an inshore coastal species, only really venturing slightly offshore to feed When feeding, they generally work cooperatively to herd large groups of schooling fish together, sometimes feeding alongside other species like Common dolphins and fur seals While they do whistle (like many dolphin species), they’re not big on that particular acoustic, especially amongst themselves - they only tend to really use them when in larger missed groups with other dolphins. Note on my materials: all my artwork is done using 100% vegan materials and sourced as sustainably as possible.
