No Road Access | Hauling the Foundation of Our First Off-Grid Build by Hand

We’re two millennials working towards our dream of a more self-sufficient life, with the forest as our closest neighbor. After years of saving and searching, we finally found the property of our dreams: a long-abandoned, overgrown little homestead deep in the forests of western Sweden. With no road access, no building experience, and no gardening background, we’re slowly learning how to live and build off-grid—with help from good books and YouTube tutorials! We’ve milled the lumber for our first building, a simple workshop, using our own trees, and are finally ready to start the laying of the foundation! In this video we’ll be hauling about a ton of gravel, concrete slabs and leca blocks through the forest by hand, as needed for the foundation. Thank you so much for following along on this adventure.
