The Surah takes its name from the opening verse: “Tabārakal-ladhī biyadihil-mulk...” — "Blessed is He in Whose Hand is the Dominion..." (67:1) Other Names: Tabarak (تَبَارَكَ): Named after its first word. Al-Mani'ah (الْمَانِعَة – The Shield/Preventer): Because it protects the reciter from the punishment of the grave.
