Soho On The Phone

Track 6, Songs with a Swing Written, Performed, Produced by Rob Cattermole Franklin Tennessee Rainbow flags hang over bars Puddles splash from passing cars Moon above Italia cafe Neons glow down alleyways Doors close for another day Tap your number in the phone Don't leave me waiting here Alone in Soho on the phone Night club bouncer in a tux Men board a London bus Couples run as it starts to rain Red light bulb in a window Why don't you pick up and say hello To hear your voice would give me a thrill Don't leave me waiting here Alone in Soho on the phone City life is tough When you're without love I've had enough I'm heading home I'm tired of living life on my own Ride the escalator to the tube Announcement echos, I think of you Like a ship lost in a storm I see a newspaper blow along the platform Going home a warm duvet awaits Barons court train is running late Don't leave me waiting here Alone in Soho on the phone © 2024 Rob Cattermole / Pin Mill Records (ASCAP)
