🎻 Koryne MacDonald - From Glengarry Roots to Cape Breton Tradition

I rarely post back-to-back videos of one artist, but after such a warm response, we couldn’t resist — here’s some more Koryne! Koryne grew up in Glengarry County, Ontario, surrounded by its rich Gaelic traditions, before making her home in Cape Breton. A fiddler since childhood, she has performed at ceilidhs, dances, and festivals across Canada and the U.S., always bringing a style rooted in tradition and community. The key was recognizing that she starts with a track on Natalie’s Fit as a Fiddle recording. The rest we knew. The first strathspey is interesting. It appears that everyone has learned it from 1) a 78 recording by Dan J. Campbell and Angus Allan Gillis, or 2) the Dungreen Collection (which references the recording), or 3) Natalie (who also references the recording).
