Searching for Big Carp on a Huge Lake

With around five hours to spare, I head out for a session of Dutch carp fishing. After looking around the lake, I choose a spot beneath a tree where the carp can find natural food and introduce a few boilies with a catapult. There’s no way to fish directly from that spot, so I walk around 80–100 metres along the lake to a place where I can set up and cast towards it. I try my luck casting with the rod for a few hours, but the carp seem to be staying just out of casting range. So I bring out my bait boat to get closer, enjoy the peaceful scenery, and wait to see what happens. Near the very end, a carp appears out of nowhere.
