Spurgeon | The Great Reservoir

You cannot fix a polluted water supply merely by laying new pipes, educating the mind, or straining the willpower. In the same way, human efforts at moral reformation inevitably fail when the inner fountainhead remains corrupt. In this sermon, Spurgeon opens up the biblical truth that every word, action, and ambition flows directly from the central reservoir of the heart. Confronting the false remedies of mere moralism and self-effort, he demonstrates why true holiness requires a heart renewed by the Holy Spirit and guarded with all diligence. Scripture: Proverbs 4:23 "Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life."
