Neophie, formerly known as Neo-dark-shadow, set 32.078 as Sonic on Whale Lagoon in the Major Glitches category. The run is dated June 7, 2011 at 10:41:17 UTC and was still ranked #1 in October 2026. As far as we know, it’s one of the game’s longest-standing world records set by a single player. Neophie - Whale Lagoon - 32'078 [Ghost Replay Showcase] We were able to capture the record’s ghost data from the playstation 3 console version and play it back within the PC version of the game for the first time ever, to our knowledge this has not been done before within this game. A separate video on the second channel will detail how this was made possible. [Second Channel]   / @asrc_clips   [Editors notes] The gameplay footage was edited for presentation and slowed to 0.25× speed in game. This experimental ghost replay build is still a work in progress: ghost data plays back at 50 Hz, no vehicle, sfx, and character animations are fully captured or enabled. The character ghost was made visible during playback in game through software.
