Hazy Afternoon Approach & Landing Into LAX (KLM 787-10)

Approach and landing on a sunny Los Angeles afternoon after a nearly 11 hour haul from Amsterdam. Crew on the flight was absolutely wonderful, the purser introduced herself to everyone in business class and made sure we were taken care of. Food was quite tasty as well, went with the "Tastes of Asia" meal and just as in previous trips it was great. Mid flight snack offered a selection of frites, ice cream, and if I remember right some kind of cheese/fruit plate. Went for the ice cream and wasn't disappointed, though the frites looked good too. Final pre landing meal was a mix of rice, cold meats/fish, little cup of warm vegetable curry, and some sweets, it was ok but would have preferred a meat curry. Seat was comfortable, though a bit narrow, mostly stayed in lounge mode watching movies since it was a daytime flight. Just like my flight a couple years before on the 787-10 from ORD-AMS the seat controls are the most noticeable issue, easy to bump, the 777 seats have similar controls but are much better placed. Of course it wouldn't be a KLM long haul without receiving a little delft house before landing, love how they keep this tradition. Really wish more airlines would pass out these little mementos. With the latest addition my little village is now up to 4. Upon landing and clearing immigration I was able to access the Delta One Lounge for the first time, found it to be very peaceful that time of day. The menu for made to order food had a good selection, went for the steak with frites and it was very tasty, followed by an ice cream sundae with fresh fruit. Overall can't wait to gain access again, was a nice upgrade from the standard crowded Skyclub I'm used to.
