Meet VERSIONS Fellow: KHAN KHALII

Khan Khalii, is a singer-songwriter and music producer from Pretoria, South Africa. Khan harnesses music to articulate her life experiences and narrate stories shared by loved ones. Born in Tongaat, KwaZulu Natal and raised in Pretoria, Khan draws most of her musical inspiration and sense of identity from both of these areas. From performing her most popular songs (“Isono,” “Sunshine,” and “Let it flow”) at the 2021 Basha Uhuru festival, to landing a mixtape of the year nomination for Pittsville: Lost In The Trap and being a finalist in the 2021 Bridge Fire Talent accelerator program, the 24-year-old’s powerful vocals often steal the show.
