This is my attempt at recreating a classic 'Radio Shack' style 'Genuine Oiled Walnut' Retro speaker system reminiscent of the famous 'Minimus 7' speakers from the popular 1980's. It uses a Dayton Audio TCP-115 8-ohm, 4”woofer, and a Peerless DX20BF00 4 ohm 3/4" Silk Dome Tweeter, along with a Dayton Audio ND140 5-1/4” Passive Radiator... all available from Parts Express. The enclosure is 10” tall, 6” wide, and 8” deep, which amounts to about 4 liters internal using 3/4” material. Crossover and some more info available at the Parts Express 'Tech Talk' forum here: https://techtalk.parts-express.com/fo... Radio Shack Catalog Archive: https://www.radioshackcatalogs.com/ I cover just a touch of Radio Shack history in this video but mostly focus on creating a small speaker that 'The Shack' would probably produce if they were still operating like they were back in the 80's. "Can't see the line, can you Russ?" -- from National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation movie... the scene where Mary is showing Clark a 'garment' she is wearing.
