What was recorded became one of the most amazing metal albums of all time. What you are listening to now is a tribute to those who summoned that album, Epicus Doomicus Metallicus, into existence. We knew it would be impossible, and foolish, to try to replicate it. So instead, we chose another path. We stripped away the guitar, raised a gothic pipe organ in its place, and laced the music with dark, mythical spoken-word poetry to further the stories already etched into each track. This is not a replacement. It is an offering. We hope you enjoy it. —Atheist Alien
