4th Q - The Law Firm - Clark 42pts 8ast 7reb, Czinano 28pts 6reb, Stuelke 13pts vs Maryland (2-2-23)

Was an extremely long 4th Q with not a lot of exciting moments. I will say, It's clear that when Iowa can play chunks at a time with getting a rhythm. They can play vs anyone. When it gets ugly and alot of dead balls. It play's like the 80's. They Struggle. That's why I really think Clark needs to be a bit more Jordan during those Moments. She tried a couple forced passes and they failed. Had a great 3pt attempt but missed. Got a crazy and 1. But again, nothing like the 1st Half and the 2nd Chunk of the 3rd Q. That pure Domination. Even defensively at times. All in all a great game by Iowa. This plus that Undefeated OSU win in such a short amount time is awesome. Maryland teased the Box & 1. I can't wait to watch the film with a keen this time and see the rematch. Molly Davis was 0-6 but Knocks down a big 3pt shot. You love to see it! Triple Double Watch When Clark hits her 6th 3pt'er she gives the Jordan Shrug. Just like Jordan did when he hit 6 3's. He happened to do his all in one half & in the finals. But the fact it was on both of their's 6th 3's is a smidge spooky. Also Clark leaves Bluder hanging on the high five haha Little before the 3 min mark, Molly Davis loses her headband. One of the silly stand-out moments of the season. Her Headband got talked about in the Oregon St game also. This game is... nearly indescribable. Clark absolutely dominates. Incredible shooting efficiency on HIGH volume. 8 Turn Overs but a of them are okay. 7reb 8ast ( Alot more Hockey Ast's & Player Fouled and didn't make basket) 2stl 1blk 39 min. Her only rest was in the 1st Q, I believe and she didn't want to at the time even. Came back next offensive possession. When Clark doesn't have to Grind in the Half Court Offense you see her turn more into Jordan & LeBron on defense. Making play's, reading defenses, hustling for every rebound & making insanely quick passes on the Fast Break!!! Haters say she doesn't play defense, but the Film says when she does, it's incredible. She can turn the Momentum of a game around on the Defensive end as well as the Offensive end. We've seen it vs UConn, NC State, and tried vs Illinois if I remember but couldn't get anything. Not to mention other games. But I'm referring to loses, where she will lock in and do what she does on the Offensive End but on Defense. Stuelke 13 pts (17min) was 5-5 with a steal 0reb 1 T.O. (3-7 FT's) (A tip out of bounds before a Fast Break could get a shot off, hustle!) You can really see from the last couple of games why Iowa in 2023-2024 is going to be different and potentially better. Czinano had 28pts (14-18fgs) 6reb 1ast 2stl. Not alot of shot for Marshall, Kate, & Warnock but they didn't hit alot on the ones they took. Molly Shot alot but also struggled shooting. Affolter surprisingly had 2 drives for baskets and then nothing else haha. This mostly the Clark show with Czinano & Stuelke matching her in their ways. The team did their things that wasn't scoring. But Stulke & Czinano as you can see scored and efficiently. Warnock 3ast Marshall 5ast Kate 6ast Molly 3ast Affolter 1ast. So the team passing was still Elite. But it seemed Clark & the nonshooting Bigs really were unstoppable by Maryland. The players who could win 1v1's. Persay??!?! Maryland - Miller had 27 got into cheap foul trouble. But I really saw the potential from this game alone. Sellers 26 pts is very solid. Meyers struggled shooting big time but still got 15pts. Those 3 all took 17 fg attempts. Sellers shot 2-8 3's... Maryland shot 2-18 3's... Masonius I guess is more of the kind pf PG you want with Miller & Meyers.
