I just got back from three weeks in Japan, and I have a lot to say! This video is my honest, unfiltered take on everything: the culture, the food, the shopping, the transportation, and the things I genuinely wish someone had told me before I went.
This trip was a graduation gift for my daughter, who has studied Japanese for years and traveled there before on exchange, so we had an incredible advantage navigating the language. But even with that, Japan is a place that will surprise you, overwhelm you, and absolutely captivate you all at once.
From navigating 16-floor shopping malls to eating gluten-free in a country that runs on soy sauce and tempura, to the suitcase transfer system I will never do again — I'm sharing it all. And yes, I'd absolutely go back.
