Our journey begins at Cruz Loma, climbing deeper into the spectacular Pichincha volcanic massif toward Rucu Pichincha, one of the iconic peaks overlooking Quito, Ecuador. The adventure begins with an unforgettable encounter: an Andean caracara (curiquingue) taking off to the high-altitude skies of Pichincha, a powerful and fascinating symbol of the wild Ecuadorian Andes. 🦅 From this spectacular moment, we cotinue our epic mountain hike from Cruz Loma to Rucu Pichincha and back, surrounded by dramatic volcanic landscapes, immense Andean horizons, mysterious clouds, golden páramo grasslands, native flora, and breathtaking mountain scenery.
