ANNUAL FEST ‘NAVRANG’ 3RD & 4TH APRIL, 2023 Two day Annual Fest ‘Navrang’ of Dronacharya P.G. College of Education, Rait was organized on 3rd and 4th April, 2023. The theme of the fest was ‘Inspire, Re-innovate and Transform’. Prof. Dev Dutt Sharma, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, Sardar Patel University, Mandi was the chief guest of Inaugural session and special guest of honour were Mr. Sandeep Punj, Managing Director-UpTik Chandigarh and Mr. Sanjeev, Founder & CEO-Edumatica. Programme was commenced with lighting of lamp ceremony to Goddess Saraswati and inaugurated by chief guest Prof. Dev Dutt Sharma. Principal Dr.Parveen Kumar Sharma welcomed all dignitaries, parents, teachers, students and all the participants and presented annual report of the college. The chief guest congratulated the host college and appreciated the students for presenting different items in the fest. He also focused on NEP 2020 that how we can identify the uniqueness of the students to fosters their inherent potential and develop the required skills essential to survive qualitatively in 21st Century. He suggested students to develop moral values and ethics to develop their self in right way. He exhorted students that they should be ready to accept the challenges and try to adjust in every situation with positive mindset and attitude. On first day various literary, creative and sports events were organised for the students. In literary events Declamation, Quiz and Teaching model making competition were organized for students. On 4th April, the chief guest of the inaugural session was Sh. Kartar Chand (HAS) SDM, Shahpur and special guest of honour was Prof. Dr. O.S.K.S. Sastri, Dept. of Physics & Astronomical Science, CUHP. Sh. Kartar Chand (HAS) SDM, Shahpur guided and advised students to not only focus on job oriented career opportunities rather focus on entrepreneurship so that society can be benefitted from your intellect and talent. He emphasized that student should learn how to condition your mind and try to master those aspects of mind which can help you to develop your ultimate potential in desired field of study. Further he urged that student’s ultimate objective must not only be limited to become money earning machines rather goal must be to become a man of moral and ethical values. Furthermore, he appreciated all the students for their wonderful performances during the Navrang Fest. On the same day cultural activities like Group Dance, Duet Dance, Solo Song and Mime were organized for students. Beside these competitions Ganesh Stuti, Solo Dance, Nati, Bhangra, Rajasthani Dance were organized on the occasion. The chief guest of Valedictory session was Mr. Sanjeev Kumar (HAS), Additional RCS Dharamshala. He advised students that they should follow what Swami Vivekananda has rightly said that take one idea, make that one idea your life, dream of it, think of it, live on that idea, only and only then you can achieve the optimum level in your life. Nikhil and Diksha were selected as Mr. and Ms. Navrang of the Annual Fest Navrang 2023. Sanchit and Akanksha were chosen as Best Personality, Prabhat and Gaytri were selected as Best Dress, Anshuman and Ananya were adjourned as Best Walk, Sanjna and Prabhat were chosen as Best confidence in male and female category respectively. Managing Director Sh.G.S.Pathania, Executive Director, Dr.B.S.Pathania and Principal Dr.Parveen Kumar Sharma along with other eminent personalities, faculty members, parents and students were present on the occasion.
