Learn how to sew a shirt collar with sharp, even points — the same method I have used for 30 years as a tailor. Step by step, you will see how to cut, interface, sew and attach a classic collar and stand to a shirt.
This collar is drafted for a 45 cm (17 3/4 in) neckline — it fits a women's size M (US 6–8 / EU 38–40) or men's XS–S. To make it fit anyone: measure your shirt's neckline and draft the collar to match.
What you will learn:
– Cutting and interfacing the collar and stand
– Sewing sharp collar points with no bulk in the corners
– Attaching the collar to the neckline evenly, no puckering
– Clean topstitching that looks store-bought
🧵 I post new sewing videos every week: sewing from scratch (Sewing School), smart repairs (Fix It Right) and old-clothes makeovers (Old to New). Subscribe for the next one!
