Racing the Special Cup 150cc as Mario and Wario - Ends in total failure - Mario Kart Double Dash

Recorded during the late afternoon of Monday, 31st August 2026 - Irish/British Standard Time. By the way, that is Hatsune Miku's birthday! I did really expect to fail really this bad before recording this. emulating this gamecube game through the Steam Deck, I was very curious to try out this game as I never played it back in the day regarding the fact I had a original Nintendo Wii with backwards compatibility with the gamecube which, my dad bought in CeX(A secondhand shop based in the UK) back in 2008 if I remember correctly. A very long time ago. What is very interesting I found out about this game is that I am older than this game by 11 days. Well, specifically the European version as I am from Europe(Northern Ireland, currently still apart of the UK as of writing this.). Imagine having a game that is nearly as old as you, or is slightly younger than you, or was exactly released on the day you were born? It's crazy! Recently playing this, I find the mechanics of the game very unique compared to the other games in the Mario Kart series. Like, how you play as two characters and can swap the driver and with some items having special abilities if in the hands of a certain character. It really is unique. I could very confidently give this a S tier alongside Mario Kart Wii but, I do not know if it surpasses it or not. I played Mario Kart Wii back in the day and really enjoyed it, and I would say this is as good. Therefore, my favourite two in the series. I really look forward to seeing Double Dash get decompiled and recompiled just like with Mario Kart Wii as of very recently. It'd be very class playing this natively on the Steam Deck.
