This hike from Perrys Lookdown to Evans Lookout via the Horse Track in the Blue Mountains is one of the toughest we’ve done. Starting with a steep descent into the Grose Valley, we make our way through the beautiful Blue Gum Forest before crossing the valley floor. But the real challenge comes at the end — the long, relentless climb back up the Horse Track. After a big week and not much sleep, this one pushed me more than I expected… and I was definitely feeling it for days after. But as always, the reward is worth it — with incredible views over the Grose Valley and that magical late afternoon light on the sandstone cliffs. 📍 Location: Blackheath, Blue Mountains National Park, NSW, Australia 📏 Distance: ~12km 1 way (with car drop) 🎒 Difficulty: Hard, challenging ⬇️⬆️ Steep descent and climb If you enjoy honest hiking adventures, feel free to subscribe for more. #bluemountains #australianhiking #bushwalking #hikingaustralia Photography: B.
